Zoo

On Thursday 23rd of October 2019 in the morning I came to school with a big smile on my face ready for the day, the bell had rang everyone sat on the mat ready for the roll to be called, minutes pass by and then it was time for all the middle syndicate to go and wait patiently on the courts.

Room nine had started to make there way onto the courts, we sat down waiting to leave but before we did Mrs Faalili was talking about how we should act and what we need to do to show fire and ace. I had thought the best way to show fire and ace is to listen and use the right words and actions, later on after Mrs Faalili had done talking then we had made our way out.

I was walking with a slight tingle in my stomach I was so excited and ready to go to the zoo, I could picture the monkeys with a big smile, because my favourite animals are monkeys. So I continued to walk ahead to the gate with my friends, as I was walking from the corner of my eye I could see the bus. I started to walk a bit faster, first room 8 and 10 got onto the first bus also room 7 got onto the 2nd bus as room 9 was waiting for our bus, finally our bus came.

When I got on the bus, I went to get a seat soon after that my friends Savannah Catherine Carlosi and my teacher Mrs Faalili sat close to me. Finally the bus started we went around the roundabout and started our trip to the zoo, as we were on our way to the people around us started to play a game called marshmallow, Savannah was explaining to us how the game went, it was really easy to learn the game, so we started to play it.

It was really funny because we had just learnt how to play it, we continued to play until we could see the Auckland zoo but when we saw the Auckland zoo we had stopped playing the game and started feeling very excited. We finally got to the zoo, we got out of the bus but before that we had used our manners and said thank you to our bus driver, we waited patiently in line while our teacher was sorting things out.

When she was done we had walked over to the meeting place where all the classes were and we were talking about rules and what we would fine, finally we had went off with our helpers, so I got up and went with my teacher Mrs Faalili, we went around trying to find the different types of animals.

We went through Australia and no not the country we were looking at the Australian animals, we were looking around at all the funny looking animals such as pandas spiders and all different types, for me it was very exciting because I had never been to the zoo.

We had been looking around for a long time, we finally had come across the cool monkeys, I was very excited to see monkeys for the first time in my life, I had looked at the monkeys and explored around, as we were walking around we saw a snake, I was really surprised to see snakes because we don’t see snake very often in New Zealand.

After all that looking around we finally went to patric who was going to take us a tour around and look at different things. We met up with patric and he took us for a look around first he took us through prides land, where all the cool big animals were,giraffes lions and different cool animals, patric took us around to look and explain to us how old the animals were and all different types of things. After awhile we had all met up at the same place we were at the start of the day.

All the middle syndicate meet up and we all made our way back to our buses, room nine had got on a bus and sat down quietly. Half way through the bus ride we had started playing games and making the most of our time. We finally got to school and chilled while waiting for the bell to ring. My experience was very cool and exciting but after the day ended I was really exhausted.
